The policy team at Anthony Nolan have been busy over the last few weeks, taking the Destination: Cure campaign out on the road, making an appearance at both Labour and Conservative Party conferences.

Party Conferences provide a great opportunity for us to speak with MPs, government and shadow ministers. We need to keep them informed about our work to create a brighter future for people with blood cancer - outlining the challenges that patients face and what the government should do to help them.

At both conferences we had an exhibition stand with a Destination: Cure maze game which we used to get MPs to stop and chat - adding some competition to make it interesting!

We challenged MPs and delegates to see how quickly it would take them to move around the maze to reach Destination: Cure.

The fastest mover was Kevin Foster MP who set the very respectable time of 7:03 seconds.

We spoke to lots of MPs, councillors and activists about what we want to achieve. This wouldn’t have been nearly as effective without our supporters’ help – a number of MPs said they came to see our stand because their constituents had specifically asked them to, so a huge thank you for your support!

It was great to see how engaged MPs and activists were with our work. We're now looking forward to continuing these conversations beyond conference as MPs return to Westminster, to help us turn our ambition of saving the lives of every transplant patient into a reality.
