Raising awareness of blood cancer and stem cell transplants

Today, blood cancer is the fifth most common cancer in the UK, and the third biggest cancer killer. But currently, a lack of public awareness causes shortfall in lifesaving stem cell donors and much-needed funds.

That's why our PPA Team raise awareness of both blood cancer and of stem cell transplantation as an all-important means of giving patients a second chance of life.

We influence government and health bodies to make positive change, push blood cancer up the agenda and advocate for better care throughout the transplant journey.

We work to achieve this through our annual campaign Communities vs Blood Cancer and through partnerships with the Blood Cancer Alliance, Cancer 52 and the Children and Young People with Cancer Coalition (CYCC).
